Dinner at Ben Thanh Market

Everyday after work me and my friends plus my supervisor would have dinner outside Ben Thanh Market. This area opens at about 5pm. And the market is just like a pasar malam (night market). All kinds of food is sold here as it is catered for the tourists. Food is cheap and nice.

Seafood Noodle

Fried rice with BBQ chicken

Delicious Bread !!!

Push cart selling bread

So far in HCMC, I have experienced the delicacies of different types of food. But sometimes the simplest of foods tastes fulfilling. The food that I liked the most is the Banh Mi (french loaf with fried eggs, cucumber, corriander leaves, choice of meat and sauce). Usually the vietnamese have it for breakfast. It costs at most about 10 000 dong. Some vendors sell cheaper. Without meat usually costs about 7000 dong.

Hidden Hindu Temple

Last Sunday while en route to the usual temple at Ton That Thiep Street, I found another Hindu temple located just opposite my office building. Exact location is at the junction of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and Le Loi. This temple was much more beautiful.

The centre god is Lord Murugan.
