Along the journey to Tunnels

The journey to Cu Chi Tunnels was tiring indeed...But the sights that we had during the journey were simply breathtaking, wonderful and makes you go WOW! Some of these sights can only be dreamt of in Singapore....but here its everywhere.

The mountain you see in this photo is called the Ba Den Mountain.Ba Den Mount is a well-known landscape of Tay Ninh, highest in South Eastern (986 m). The mountain is formed by granite and granodionite. Therefore the mount is rather sharp and sloppy with three heights: Ba Den (986m), Phung Mount ( 372m) and Heo Mount (335m).
Ba Den Mountain is also called Black Lady Mountain. According to legends, beautiful Ly Thi Thien Huong, Black Lady, was forced to marry the son of a rich mandarin while she fell in love with a poor man who was fighting the aggressors. Rather than marrying a man she did not love, she threw herself from the mountain.Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival in lunar new year, cable car system to the mountain top, the first one in Vietnam, majestic landscape, fresh air and along with system of natural lakes, caves and forest and cultural villages, all has made Ba Den Mountain become an attractive tourist site luring about 1 million visitors coming every year.Several shrines and pagodas were built in the mountain as well as in the caves. Ba and Hang Pagodas attract many pilgrims during the New Lunar Year
and Vu Lan Festivals.

Where else can you see a herd of cattle? Of course in Vietnam!!

These are the rubber trees where rubber tapping is carried out. It contributes to the vietnamese economy in terms of export. This picture was taken when travelling to the Cao Dai Temple.
