Cu Chi Tunnels

Last Sunday after visiting the Cao Dai Temple, we went to Cu Chi Tunnels. This place was where the vietnamese guerillas created a tunnel system which was used to fight against the Americans. The tunnels were extremely small during those times. The guerillas created this tunnels so small that only the people of their size could enter and crawl along it. Some of the turns in the tunnels lead to dead ends which were booby-trapped with metal spikes.

This was where a B-52 bomber aircraft dropped a bomb. The explosion created a huge crater which is still clearly visible until today.

This is a picture of me with a vietnamese guerilla.
